Day 1
Arrive Kunming
Arrive in Kunming. Kunming is known as the "Eternal Spring City" as it has the mildest, best year round weather in all of China. Upon arrival, you will be met by our friendly local tour guide and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2
Kunming
Full day sightseeing tour, including the Stone Forest and the Ethnic Culture Village. The Stone Forest, one of China's most remarkable natural phenomena, consists of exceptionally beautiful limestone formations. Explore oddly-shaped peaks, waterfalls, caves and lakes. Visit the Ethnic Culture Village before returning to Kunming.

Day 3
Kunming Dali
Half day excursion to Dragon Gate, Black Dragon Pool in Western Hill and Grand View Tower. Fly to Dali in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be met by our local tour guide and transferred to the hotel.

Day 4
Dali
Full day sightseeing tour of Dali, the ancient capital of Southwest China for over 1,000 year. Dali is home to the Bai Minority Group and is a city of great natural beauty. Take an excursion by a cruise to Erhai Lake followed by a visit to Butterfly Spring. Get firsthand experience of local daily life as we visit a Bai Minority Village, chancing a taste of famous "Three Courses Tea." Head back into town, stopping on the way at the "Three Elegant Pagodas." En route, and we walk through the ancient town of Dali.

Day 5
Dali Lijiang
After breakfast, we travel by coach to Lijiang, the cultural center of the Naxi Minority. Lijiang has beautiful landscapes and has been designated an UN World Cultural Heritage Site. Gaze in wonder at the sights and sounds of this ancient city as we walk down the cobblestone streets preserved for over 700 years. We see that the Naxi way of life has changed very little over time. A short motor coach ride away is Black Dragon Pond, where we take a leisurely stroll around the pristine natural surroundings.

Day 6
Lijiang
The highlight of the day is Jade Dragon Mountain, the mythical mountain worshipped by the Naxi as a deity. The bus drops us off at the base where we board big cable car to access higher regions that afford a beautiful view of the famed Thirteen Peaks. Our rest stop on the way to Jade Dragon Mountain is Baisha Village, the ancient capital of the Naxi Kingdom. Enjoy a concert by the Naxi People's Classical Music Orchestra.

Day 7
Lijiang Zhongdian
Travel from Lijiang to Zhongdian. At the midway point of the journey we stop at Tiger Leaping Gorge, descending over 200 steps for the best view. Tiger Leaping Gorge is one of the world's deepest canyons. In the late afternoon, arrive in Zhongdian,
also kown as "Shangri-La.".

Day 8
Zhongdian (Shangri-La)
Rise early in the morning as we venture to Songzanlin Temple, a charming Tibetan temple located in a village outside Zhongdian. Journey later by motor coach to Napahai, a beautiful scenic spot that typifies how Shangri-la blends harmoniously with Nature, worshipped by the Tibetan Minority.

Day 9
Zhongdian Kunming
Return flight to Kunming. End of the tour.
